About Julia

I consider myself immensely fortunate to have been blessed with a family whose favorite pastime centered around attending the theater. And not just any theatre – Houston Theatre. Growing up, Houston felt like a break from the bubble of small-town thinking, where even obscure performances made newspaper headlines, and I reveled in it all. The richness of art, igniting opinions and conversations, is what has always captivated me.

Throughout my Bachelor of Fine Arts studies at Illinois Wesleyan University, I embraced a variety of roles that defied the status quo. Whether portraying the Duchess in John Webster’s “The Duchess of Malfi,” who boldly claimed her own rights in an era when women had little autonomy, or dancing freely in "Disjointed," a production exploring independence without the influence of social media, the characters I inhabited existed comfortably beyond the norms of their time.

In my free time, you’ll find me jamming to The Beatles, reconnecting and recentering myself with my inner circle, and bartending for my newest filmmaker friends after a long day of spontaneous shooting.
